Family Law is a sensitive area of the law that deals with family-related issues and domestic relations.

From 1 July 2007 the Government introduced new changes into the Family Law system in order to make it a less adversarial process. Changes included amendments to the Family Law Act 1975, introduction to Family Relationships Centres and advice lines, compulsory dispute resolution, the importance of the role of grandparents and the benefits it can have for children.
